The Teatro Regio Torino mounted this 2008 performance of Giacomo Puccini's 1889 opera Edgar, which Puccini, in turn, adapted from the dramatic poem "La Coupe et les lèvres" by Alfred de Musset. This production marks one of the first to utilize a complete reconstruction of the final act by Puccini scholar Linda B. Fairtile and the composer's granddaughter, Simonetta Puccini. This version stars José Cura as Edgar, Amarilli Nizza as Fidelia, Julia Gertseva as Tigrana and Marco Vratogna as Frank.
