He played over 200 shows last year and now beach blues busker and festival funkster C Bone brings his music from the streets to the studio with his debut album.

C Bone and his bass-player, Dr Funk, have been steadily releasing videos via social media, attracting tens of thousands of views. They are something of a phenomenon on the UK south west music scene, where they originally performed in the Big Sets. The latter appeared on the BBC, performing two original songs.

Musically, C Bone has absorbed much during his years playing and living in Spain and France and the tracks on “North Sea Breeze” vary from 12-bar blues to swing, R&B to jazz to Hendrix, and the songwriting for the debut album reflects this versatility.

‘Come Hell Or High Water’ was the lead-off video single release, shot in C Bone’s backyard of Newquay, Cornwall, and is a great example of the hybrid style C Bone has developed. Debut digital single ‘I’m Going’ is a classic R&B number boasting saxophone and upright bass over which C Bone lets rip with an SRV-like guitar break. ‘Three Sweet Kisses’ is very catchy jazzy R&B; ‘Keep On Rockin’ which as per its title is frenetic rock’n’roll, contrasted by ‘The Stealer’ and ‘Loaded Gun’ which both exude some excellent blues rock.
