Gavin DeGraw is gearing up to release his next single “Face the River” on April 13th, the title track of his forthcoming album releasing May 20th. Face the River is inspired by the love his late parents, Lynne and John Wayne, shared for each other. “Elements of Face the River are definitely my parents’ story,” he observes. “There are also moments of me watching it. This was the record I felt like I had to make. I got to bear witness to the greatest love story of two people who would do anything for each other and their family. They were very loyal and committed. They didn’t have money, but they gave me something way better than money. I saw the pinnacle of what love should be.”
