De Amerikaanse garagerockband Louis XIV werd gevormd door zanger en gitarist Jason Hill, gitarist Brian Karscig, drummer Mark Maigaard en bassist James Armbrust. In totaal bracht de band drie studioalbums uit, waaronder het derde album uit 2008, Slick Dogs And Ponies. Het werd uitgebracht op Atlantic Records en bevatte de populaire nummers "Guilt By Association", "Air Traffic Control" en "Stalker". Het was hun laatste album voordat ze in 2009 uit elkaar gingen. Jason Hill vervolgde zijn muzikale carrière als componist voor filmmuziek en is vooral bekend van onder meer Gone Girl, Mindhunter en Love, Death And Robots.
